The intention behind this workshop is simple yet powerful:
To create a sacred, safe, and supportive space for Muslim widows and women of faith to grieve, process, reflect, and begin to heal after the profound loss of a spouse.
Losing a spouse is one of the most life-altering experiences a woman can endure. As someone who has personally walked through the unimaginable, laying my beloved husband to rest, I know what it’s like to sit in that ache, to wake up to a new reality that feels unfamiliar, fragile, and at times, unbearable.
But I also know what it feels like to be held.
To be witnessed.
To be in a space where your grief is not judged, but gently honored.
Since 2021, I’ve had the honor of walking with dozens of widows through their healing journeys, guiding them through their emotions, through the fog, and toward rediscovery. This group is not about rushing your healing. It’s about giving yourself permission to feel, release, reflect, and grow in community.
"I was hurt, angry, distorted, and alone in a world that no longer gave me any comfort. My husband was the Love of my Life, my teacher, provider, protector, comforter, and best friend. Muslim Widows and Women of Faith, is a blessing from Allah... I broke my silence of the hurt and isolation resulting from the loss of my husband.
The sessions are a safe space for widows to speak and share their feelings and experiences. Sharing with other sisters on the same journey, I felt peace voicing my emotions...The group has blessed me with a sisterhood I will cherish for as long as I live." - Muhassin Muhammad
